Buttoned Neck Band

Not sure of the yardage, I used the ball to make mitts, a hat and then the band with a bit from some leftover hat I had made earlier.  Gauge is not important for this.
Cast on 40 stitches
(Pattern)
Knit 3, K2, P2 to last 3 stitches, knit 3
Knit 3, P2, K2 to last 3 stitches, knit 3

Repeat these rows till piece is about an inch longer than needed to cover your neck.

K3, K2 cast off 3 or 4 stitches (depends on size of your buttons)
K3, K2, con't in pattern casting on amount of stitches where you cast off in previous row.
Follow in pattern for 1-2 inches cast off in pattern.

Sew on buttons and enjoy.

This is my first pattern, very simple and quick to knit. I made this for a woman who works with heavy equipment so nothing is hanging to get caught in the moving parts.  The ribbing makes it stretchy so it can be pulled up over the face.
