Now here is a suprise!  Most people know we have way too many cats.. most of them are spayed, all are neutered.  I emphasize, ALL are neutered.  Had it done 8 yrs ago when they were little.  We do have a couple cats that are not spayed, (save the bs we know they need to get done).  NONE of them are allowed outside.  ALL are indoor cats except the mother of them all who is spayed.

Now to the nice little surprise you see up top.... at 7:30 am my dogs are going nuts.  Took me an hour to find out why and then it was a poor little dead kitten so I wrapped him in tissues and put him aside to bury later when I was more awake and it wasn't raining.  Went back to bed, dogs went nuts.. repeat of 7:30 only this time it was a tiny little girl, alive and crying.  Now.... where the fuck did it come from!!!  ALL my males are neutered and if a female was going to get caught, you would think it wouldn't take 8 freaking years to happen if one of the males were not totally done wouldn't you?? I thank the Gods in charge that it is only one and feel so bad for the boy who didn't make it.  He was huge, the length of my hand from finger tip to just before the wrist while his sis is half that.

I love kittens. I sooooo love kittens! But this one was not supposed to be.

Armstrong shawl.

With Mic snoozing.  It's a lightweight shawl good to keep the chill from settling on your shoulders.

stitch marker holder

Loose leaf reinforcement holder from highschool.  Knew I would find a use for this some day.

Right now it's just holding my leftovers. Had hubby attach a lovely crystal cupboard knob to my computer desk to hang it from though. :)

Got a rubbermaid type, 4-drawer plastic cupboard that sits under my computer desk to hold the stuff I use the most.  The Hostess cupcake is actually a plastic container I found in a sales bin.

It's great for holding little things that get lost so easily otherwise.

acrylic

I made a hat and scarf to match, the girl threw them out.  We found all but one mitt.

This was made with that Bernat Mosaic wool everyone seems to like. I wasn't fussy on it. It split too easy, rings of fluff grew around the yarn as I kntted and using it to stitch it together was insane as it kept fraying apart.  Like there was no hard thread to hold it together, but there was.  Mind you I do love the finished project just don't think it was worth it.

Drop stitch throw, never thought to remember what the yarn was as I never thought I would need to know but I know it's all acrylic. I made 3 of these in a row once I figured out how to do it.  It was so much fun to watch the throw grow as I dropped the stitches.

Here is one in the process of having the dropped stitches worked out.  I don't have any of these now as they were snatched up almost as soon as I finished them.  Such a lazy way to make lace and so much fun as it doesn't take much time.

My shawl knit with homespun, held triple.  It's soft and warm and... fuzzy after a yr of hanging on the back of the chair by the back door.  It's my doggy doo-doo shawl in winter when it's really cold out.

Bought this yarn at Giant Tiger. It is smooth and silky.

Used my moms old tea cosey pattern to make a soft, always puffy blanket for my Mic.  It was just something I wanted to try and it worked.  Made one for my sisters dog after and was told she just loves it. I put a backing on hers though so you can't see the carried stitching all over.  I also did hers in one piece, mot in blocks like this one.

Oogly ball and Mic. Ball is just some leftovers I had and strands are felted wool.. well most of them are. Some of them I thought were wool but they didn't felt so I was wrong. :)

Mic wrapped up in an old shawl I made many many years ago.  It's her fave snuggle.

I made this about 23 yr ago, seems to have stretched over the years, (not really) but it seems to still fit even with me stretching. My first attempt at carrying wool more than 1 or 2 stitchs and it failed but it gives the flower a 3D look.  It's held up well over the yrs though.

Here I am all set up to do some work outside in the sunshine.

My knitting companion for the day, great conversationalist. Never interrupts and most important, doesn't critique the work or run off with the yarn.

Moved to the pool... hubby bought me a Timmies frozen raspberry lemonade. The needle is one I've adapted as my nostepinne so I've been carrying it around with me.  It's an old one from.. I think my sisters mil. I have them both. Marked as 3/4" on the top.  Always wanted to find a use for these needles, never thought they would be making me center pulls. lol

finally but not least, my hubby has stolen my baby!  Mic loves to go for rides on anything with a motor and she always sits smuggly on his  lap as he mows the lawn.  Mowing can take 2 days so she gets lots of rides.  Have yet to try her on the horse though...
This is my daughter with my dog Biscut in the back and me in the front quite a few years ago. Bic loved going on horse rides, not so sure about Mic as I don't ride anymore.
